Excerpt: I've been using this lens with my FS-100 (and more recently FS7) for a while. It's my go-to for handheld "don't know what's going to happen next" shots because it can roll with just about any situation. It has so many things going for it.
Great "all-in-one" lens for NEX-6 with some minor size/formfactor flaws.

Summary: Fine "everything" lens for day-to-day shooting on my Nex-6. Slow/medium/fast servo zoom work great for video shooting. Even the "high" (fast) setting on the servo is slow for photography though - so I turn the servo off and manually zoom those - which works great.
Summary: Owned 6 months. There are several more detailed reviews here that I agree with. I'm very happy with the purchase - it has served me well, takes excellent shots across a wide range of focal lengths, is fast, but is much heavier than I expected, bringing the weight of the whole camera to a near DSLR...
Summary: Very good lens. I like all the features it offers. It has power zoom, with *three* speeds, and an option to switch to a manual zoom. The power zoom is a bit slow but it's a good thing. It adds more professional feeling to my videos. I use it with a Sony NEX-3N.
Excerpt: I purchased this lens to extend the focal range of my Sony NEX-6 that I originally purchased with an 11-18 mm ultrawide angle lens. I tried out the lens under some of the worst conditions in an interior museum gallery with no windows and no supplemental lighting and no tripod.
Pros: Durable, Easy To Use, Reliable, Smooth Motorized Zoom
Summary: I have the older silver version of this lens that came with my FS700. It had issues. No zoom motor. Jumping out of focus at the beginning of zooms. And, I know this sounds vein, but it looked cheesy. All that gone now with this new, awesome lens.
I thought it be a lot better considering it cost 1 grand...

Summary: I acquired this lens when I purchased the NEX-EA50UH camcorder for my wedding video side business. I've had a chance to play around with this lens for a couple of days now but I am already finding a coupe of things I don't like... So in this review I am going to say all the things I don't like.
Excerpt: Use for commercials, documentary and interviews on my Sony FS-700. Sharp and great focal length range. Not very fast but great all in one. For low light situations I use an Metabones speed booster adapter with Nikon prime lens. All together a perfect kit that covers all my needs in terms of lens.
