AVOID !!! Common fault occurs
22 February 2012
Summary: I have to agree with Jane Tilley "Jane" - avoid this lens! it served me well for nearly a year, but the focus ring gave away. Now lens is useless. Repair cost is higher than cost of purchasing it, so you can basically bin it. It is a common problem with this lens - it is making a rattling noise and can't autofocus - please see youtube videos and google it. This lens will not last long!
Summary: I have given this lens 1 star as there is a common fault that that means the focus ring gears slip meaning that you cannot manually focus or auto focus, this will cost you around £200 for a repair so after this fault occurs you may aswell bin it. However the results before this happens are good but it is still not worth the cash seeing that this is extremely likely to happen. please avoid so you dont have to go through what i have!!!
