Sigma 105mm Wonder

Summary: The only reason that I have given this lens a four star rating is due to the fact that this is the older model of this lens and I purchased it used from a seller on Amazon.com. Had some trepidations about buying something of this nature used and unseen. Must say that I was pleasantly surprised at the condition and cleanliness of lens, well taken care of. Will be looking at used lenses in the future. As stated this is the older model Sigma 105mm macro lens.
Summary: This lens is great for 1:1 macro, it's true macro pretty much. You'll most likely have to get a tripod for real close up shots, but wow! It's sharp at around f4 and f5.6. I have also been using this a portrait lens and the photos are coming out great as well! Definite not regretting this purchase, even though it wasn't from Amazon.
Summary: This is a very sharp and well build lens. Hunts a little on Nikon D200, but works perfect on D300 and D700. Recomended. A little gem on Nikon. No need for upgrade to the newer version. If you don´t need the OS of cource. This one is proberly sharper. (?
Summary: This one is a slightly older model. It works perfectly on my Canon 50D however. Picture quality is razor sharp at all apertures. Auto focus is slightly slower than hypersonic drives but still gets it done quite quickly. Excellent lens for the money.
Summary: Very nice lens. Photos are tack sharp. It is an older version lens that works great with my Sony cameras. Colors and contrast are also great. It is an awesome lens for the price, incredible bang for the buck.
I paid $90. After trying it out, I called my buddy and told him to get one

Summary: I purchased this as my 3rd Sigma out of 12 lenses. I wanted an all-around, full frame, light, fast to reasonably fast zoom, knowing that the sweet spot will never be 2.8 but hopefully it will be no greater than a 4. I got mine for under $90.00 including shipping. It is a primarily plastic, and I like it best around F4.
