Great Sigma 150mm f2.8 lens

Summary: I rented this lens from lensrental before I bought on Amazon. I have a Canon 5D Mark iii with only a Canon 85mm f1.2 lens. The Sigma 150 has nice boket (not quite as great as my Canon 85mm). Might be slightly heavier than the 85 mm but the ring around it makes it easier to hold. You can get very close with the Sigma 150 (I have to be 30 inches away with the 85mm) which has NO macro and no Image Stabilization. The Sigma has two Image (called OS) stabilitzation settings.
Summary: Excellent lens, I usually using it for macro very sharp when use tripod or subject not moving, I happy with it and make great macro , It's fine lens to me sometime I using tele-converter with it like x1.4 or x2.0 I get large and sharp macro I use it with Nikon D7100
Summary: I purchased this lens elsewhere, and used. The used factor made no difference in quality, but it did cost half of what is advertised here. I have been a hobbyist and did not have a prime lens to shoot barrel racing, but did use a Nikkor 18-200 DX on a Nikon D200 in the past. That lens is fine when outdoors, but you need a better lens for indoor arenas.
Buyer beware of nikon mount Sigma lenses 50-500, 150-500 and 150 macro

Summary: I experienced numerous erroneous readings when using the 50-500 lens, for example: a reading of f:0, F99 or no reading whatsoever along with camera freezing that required a battery removal to reset the camera. I returned the lens for another copy. That copy worked for months of little usage, however when I needed it for continuous use during the fall birding season it failed after a few days, exhibiting the same problems as the original lens.
Great Macro Lens (Sigma 150mm f/2.8 OS lens for Nikon)

Summary: I bought this lens for use on a Nikon D300 primarily for extreme close-ups (e.g., small flowers or plants, insects, etc.) and also as a potential portrait lens. I have been using it for a couple of weeks, and it works extremely well for both applications. The OS image stabilization aspect also comes in handy for regular telephoto use or for portraits.
Summary: The lens I received was 150 mm 1:2.8 APO MACRO DG HSM. I was expecting it to be optically stabilized OS as well, but was not so . The lens works well but is probably not as highly recommended as one listed above.
