Summary: Very nice lens for money. Fast, accurate focusing, great image quality. Nikon's counterpart not anywhere near a $1000.00 better lens. I have the Sigma 17-70, and will eventually get either their 120-400 or their 150-500 as well.
Summary: Even Nikon gives 4,5 stars for it . It is really perfect lens, because of the weather conditions and I am on moving I am not able to use it much right now, But first day I tried it a cpl times, It works perfect. And the best it, it arrived only in 3 days in its original box, not used.
Summary: This lense is fast and accurate. I shoot professionally and I was reluctant to purchase non-canon glass but this lense has sharp detail, great speed and fantastic low light abilities for half the price. Build construction is solid and heavy.
Summary: I can't say enough good about this lens. I have the Nikon version and after trying the Tamron version first, which was horrible and would not focus, I ended up buying this one and am in love with it. I can hand hold it but it is heavy so depending on the job and lighting I will use a mono pod with it. Focuses and reacts very quickly (which was the issue I had with the Tamron version).
Summary: This lens changed my views on 3rd party lens. This lens is made in Japan. No one's gonna argue that Canon L 70-200mm 2.8 IS II is a great lens. But it's nearly 2x price of this Sigma lens. I've tried the "other" Canon 70-200mm L lenses prior to this: F4 IS L & F2.8 L Non-IS. Of the 3, this Sigma is the most impressive & the least expensive. Images are very sharp and full of contrast. Wonderful bokeh.
