Very happy with the lens
19 November 2013
Summary: Ended up looking at both this and the Tamron 24-70 F2.8. Both took great photos and I had no problems with focus or function. In the end I selected this Sigma. The price difference between it and Tamron's 24-70 made it hard to justify the Tamron. While it's a small thing, I also like that the Sigma lenses come with lens cases (the Tamron does not). The only issue I have with this lens is the lack of a full-time manual focus.
Summary: Simple and gorgeous glass..! I have tried many different walkaround lenses during my short photographic experience, and can't be happier with the results that I obtain with this one... maybe it is me but everything is more vibrant, contrasted and very sharp! If you are thinking about an upgrade from the dull and not very well built (to my opinion) Nikon kit lenses (f/3.5 and on) and do not care much about range but instead the clarity of the f/2.8 and affordability, This...
Summary: So I've had this lense for 3 years now, and it's basically almost never left my camera since I got it. The image quality is great, it is extremely versatile for a walkaround lens, and is perfect. Have used this in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, and Thailand without having to worry about focus or getting bad quality shots. Highly recommend if you're planning any shots in or around a city.
Summary: I have only had this lens for a couple of days but I have got to say that it is better than most of the other lenses I've used. I've been shooting for a couple of years now and have a photography LLC and do a few portrait shoots per month plus some sports and candids. I needed this lens as a walkaround, do-it-all lens and really wanted the OS which the Nikon version did not offer.
Summary: I bought this lens a few months ago for my D90 and have been amazed by the quality, clarity, contrast and color rendition produced by this lens. Sigma lenses have been ever increasing in quality and are starting to offer a serious alternative to expensive Nikon and Canon glass that is worth considering.
Excellent wide-angle lens, very fast and problem free. Love this lens!

Summary: I use this lens with my Canon 60D, it works great for group pictures where having a wide angle is a must-have. The clarity is awesome! I use it primarily for shooting video and I do some group photography for prom type events.
Summary: Hi, I got this lens to replace 18-200 VR zoom and I am extremely pleased with its sharpness and performance on a D7100 body. It works well, built well and does job just fine. I compared it to 35mm f1.8 Nikkor and it is on par sharpness wise with it, may be only a little bit less sharp but on par. 50mm F1.8 nikkor is sharper but versality of this zoom makes up for a difference. I highly recommend this lens, it is definitely worth its price.
