The Sigma 85mm F1.4 EX DG HSM is a large aperture medium telephoto lens that is optimized for use with digital SLR cameras and features a focal length of 85mm, maximum aperture of F1.4 that is ideal for portrait and low light photography. Using the lens on digital cameras with an APS-C size image sensor effectively extends the range to 127.5mm at F1.4. The lens is composed of 8 groups with 11 elements, including one SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass element and one glass mold element for correction of all types of aberrations. The lens is also equipped with a rear focus system that minimizes fluctuation of aberration caused by focusing, Super Multi-Layer Coating which reduces flare and ghost even in backlight photography, HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) for quiet and high speed AF as well as full-time manual focus capability, a minimum focusing distance of 85cm and a maximum magnification 1:8.6; 9 blade diaphragm which creates blur to the out of focus images.
