Excerpt: I do professional Videography and some small amounts of photography and have to say Ive used both lenses from canon and sigma. The canon is smaller in comparison to this model but the pull on the focus ring has no weight behind it. Feels cheap and almost toyish.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Nice Bokeh, Strong Construction
Summary: Forget canon lens and save extra bucks by buying this sigma art lens! Super sharp and quality of the lens is like Zeiss lenses. Am not kidding!! I have been Canon L junkie before sigma art came.
Summary: SHARP...SHARP....WEIGHTED AND BUILT EXTREMELY WELL! DID I MENTION, SHARP? Seriously, I've had the 35mm version of this lens for a while and felt like comparing the Sigma 50 to my Canon 50 f/1.4, guess which one is getting sold (hint: it begins with C).
Summary: I just recently took this lens for some portraits - prom night. I'm using a Canon 6D, so it's a full frame body. I am perhaps an advanced amateur and have been shooting with a Canon 24-105mm f4 L lens for routine shots and a Canon 14mm L for some landscape and architectural shots.
