Summary: The lens is definitely decent for the money...but I was looking for better than decent....so I opted to pay more for a lens this size. I guess it boils down to that . what you are willing to pay for the quality you desire.
Realy Good For Close action or Portraits in Good Light Conditions.

Summary: Its Realy good Lens for a Beginner in Photography. Good for "Out Door" Portraits & armature Sports. Fast Auto Focus & it Come Handy In Good Light Conditions. OS works like a charm & i took some hand held photos of some Flying Grants recently & they Came with out any Noticeable Blur. Its a Great Item for its value Mostly same as the Nikkor 55-200mm VR. Pro's- Fast Auto Focus Optical Stabilizer Size Weight Metal Mount Con's AF doesn't work in low light conditions.
Summary: Sigma 50-200 OS is a good budget lens yet I'm still trying to push it to it's optimum capabilities. I own three Sigma lenses, two are DC lenses while the EX out preforms my others in detail clarity only when enlarged. Focus is quick, focus and zoom rings are smooth but I wish the sharpness was better during an enlargement compared to my Sigma EX lens.
