Summary: I'm always a little aprehensive when ordering something unseen and used. I am very pleased with this purchase, however; and with the savings over purchasing a similar new lens. The lens works as expected on my Pentax K5 and seems to be in nearly new condition.
Summary: The Macro feature is especially useful and easy to use, offering various magnifications simply by zooming in or out. The zoom range from wide angle to portrait length will cover the ordinary needs of most of us, and is provided in a lightweight package that won't make you feel like you've been tied...
Summary: That's pretty much the good and the bad of it. I ordered mine because I liked the range on this lens and it's cheap, so it should get me by until I can get a better lens. That said, I wasn't expecting much from this lens, and I got about what I expected.
Summary: I have found this to be a very versatile all purpose lense - good to have on hand for most occasions - when someone dropped my lense and it broke i replaced it because i really missed it and realized how frequently i relied on it
Summary: This is a great lens for someone starting to build a lens collection. I have had great luck photographing lilies as well as portraits. Macro option makes it a great alternative to a standard lens. Lens is lightweight but still has good construction.
Summary: I have owned this lens for about two years, and found that it was a fine lens at first, when I was just starting to learn with a good camera, but that it quickly outwore it's usefulness and now mainly gathers dust.
Summary: A very big bang for your buck, this lens is cool for beginners like me. Pics result was great, light weight and very easy to use. I notice it's kinda slow on AF. But like what I've said I'm not a pro, this lens works very fine with my A300.
Summary: First, let me say this lens is one of my favorites. I own this lens for my Pentax PZ-1 and have read MANY reviews about it. The price is cheap. In fact, it's arguably the cheapest lenses in it's class. But don't mistake a cheap price as the sign of a bad lens.
Summary: I bought this lens without getting my hopes too high. But it turned out to be a good macro lens. There are few short comings. 1. Auto focus mode - camera gets confused. 2. Good for only closeups. Long shorts gets bit blurry. Manual closeup works great.
Summary: If you are the SLR photographer who enjoys taking quality shots, this lens is for you! What's more, the zoom ring is well-positioned, and as far as i can tell, this is a very reliable lens. I have only had mine for a couple of months, but have already taken some brilliant shots with it!
