Excerpt: This is the first (and last) Sigma lens that I have bought. Thought I would take a chance with Sigma instead of purchasing a Canon L lens to save a few hundred bucks, and deeply regret it. Really wanted to love this lens as it was my first upgraded lens from my kit lens.
Pros: Durable, Rugged, Strong Construction
Cons: Blurry Focus, Heavy, Lens Creep, Poor in Low Light
Excerpt: I've probably only shot about 100 images so far, but I'm not real happy. On a sunny day shooting runners they all had some sort of halo around them, not a good one. Like the colors were running together. Indoor soccer seems a little off too.
Pros: Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Strong Construction
Excerpt: Was very happy with this lens for 4 months until.... had the lens mounted on a Nikon body in my Domke bag. The bag was sitting on top of a 12" tall tool box and it fell forward. Set it back upright not thinking anything of it.
Excerpt: I bought this lens because the range and aperture were what I was looking for without the Canon L price. The lens was bigger than I thought but very easy to handle. Focusing was dead silent and I loved everything about the lens but it refused to take sharp photos, even on a tripod.
Pros: Rugged, Silent autofocus, Strong Construction
Excerpt: This lens does provide excellent output, extremely sharp, great contrast - in almost every way a great alternate to the Nikon 24-70 - when it's in focus. On the two I tried the HSM system will continuously hunt for focus, even on a brightly lit, strong contrast target.
Summary: Found this very unreliable on focus. Leaning forward it zoomed in by itself also which was annoying! I use a D7100 and when it was right, wow, sharp! But took some extra calibrating, but even then went on to miss focus on about 40% of shots. Not good enough so had to return it. Shame.
Summary: Ich habe mich nach langem Überlegen dann doch endlich für mein erstes Zoom-Objektiv entschieden. Bin derzeit im Besitz von 3 Festbrennweiten und habe nicht einen Kauf bis heute bereut. Allerdings den Kauf dieses Sigma Zoom-Objektives. Ich kann mich einigen Kommentatoren vor mir nur anschließen.
