Same as canon 24-105mm L IS

Excerpt: For the price, Canon 24-105mm L IS has better build quality with magnesium alloy barrel, deadly reliable, sharper at 105mm and holds the value well. The new price for 24-105mm L IS is only about $650 come as KIT lens compared to this one for $899. No reason to get the CANON instead of Sigma who has unknown reliability and autofocus accuracy in the future.

Summary: Just as good as 2005 CANON 24-105mm L IS in most situations. In the lab with close distance it is slightly sharper 3-5 % but at infinity they are identical. The CANON 24-105mm L IS in the real usages is more reliable, fast accurate focus and built from Magnesium Alloy that deadly reliable. 3 barrels in this SIGMA is tight and very little wiggle but not as good as CANON metal alloy barrels.
Summary: What a disappointment this lens is. I had high hopes the new Sigma "Art" series of lenses would set new benchmarks in image quality. Maybe their primes do, but not this zoom. I have the Nikon 24-120mm F/4 zoom and like it a lot. But it's not perfect. Lots of vignetting and distortion, and wide open or at 120mm, it's soft. I expected the Sigma to be super-sharp and all apertures and focal lengths given its complex optics and high-quality build.
Summary: I bought this lens for a missionary trip to Haiti, where I didn't want to take all my wedding equipment. With great AF, sharp, and beautiful color rendition, now this lens is part of my wedding camera bag.
Excerpt: I bought the Sigma 24-105 Art to use with my 5D Mark II based on many stellar reviews. So, when I got it I immediately did test shots (comparing to my EF 28-135) and discovered that generally the images were not up to the quality of my Canon EF 28-135 with the exception of contrast. After reviewing my images Sigma wasn't allowed to officially agree with my results but wanted me to send it back to them for calibration (wink, wink).
Summary: Slightly better build quality than I expected ( after all the hype my expectations were sky high ) and it just IS a beautiful lens... A bit too contrasty -which you can adjust for- for my taste, but fantastic non the less. Fast AF and pretty sharp. Im totally satisfied! Specially since this is my first NON Nikon lens I ever use, I would have never imagined that Sigma would create such a great piece!
Summary: I was tired of lugging around a camera bag with various lenses while on vacation or hiking and, after reading various reviews, I settled on this lens because it offers a good range of composition possibilities and, per the reviews, it was considerably sharper throughout its zoom range than the comparable Canon lens. I am happy to say that, in my experience, the reviews are true. It is a solid, well built lens that has impressed me every time I use it.
Excerpt: This is my everyday lens. It is very sharp, focuses quickly, and the optical stabilization works very well. I would rate the stabilization effective for at least 3.5 stops. The build quality is excellent. It balances very nicely on my 70D. Overall the Sigma 24-105 f4 is one of the best lenses I have ever owned.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Nice Bokeh, Rugged, Strong Construction
Summary: I do a lot of event photography. Needed a second len for my 2nd body for the photo booth. This fits the bill. wide enough for groups shots and zoom for those close up. Is has some weight to it.
