  • Excerpt: Interesting, the whiner reviews all shoot Canon LOL Plays great on my Nikon D810/D800/D600/D7K's Sharp wide open, fast/accurate AF, wonderful build quality This replaced Nikon's own 24-120 f4,as I got tired of less than stellar IQ..

  • Excerpt: I've had this lens for the past 4 months. While I'm not a fan of the weight of this lens, I've been very impressed with the images that are produced. I can't speak to the complaints cannon people are mentioning but on my Nikon D600, it's been a fantastic lens with sharp images.

Fantastic, All-Purpose Lens

LostJohnny, Amazon
5 April 2015
  • Summary: I'm a Nikon-shooting wedding photographer. I bought this because I needed a replacement for my hardy Nikkor 24-70mm 2.8 while it was out being repaired (it's been shooting HARD for 6 years), and I could always use an extra wide angle (my wife shares my equipment).

Excellent, but heavy

Robert Moran, Amazon
16 March 2015
  • Summary: It's an excellent lens, but it's very heavy compared to the Canon version it replaced (because the Canon lens got damaged). If it was lighter, I'd use it more as an everyday walk-around lens. Still happy with my purchase. I should get in better shape than complain because I'm a weakling.

Sigma 24-105 Art on a D610 & D7100

wtarcher, Amazon
4 March 2015
  • Summary: As a wildlife and a wild places photographer, I own 2 Nikon cameras, a D610 & a D7100. When I go on a planned photo excursion, both cameras will be at my side. One will invariably have the 24-105 Art lens mounted to it. The other will have my 50-500 or my 120-300 f2.8 Sigma mounted.

The Sigma is Sharper and has less Chromatic Distortion, but weights a ton...

G. Cook "gcookie", Amazon
3 March 2015
  • Summary: I have both the Sigma lens and the Canon lens. The professional reviews that compare the two lens, put the Sigma ahead of the dated Canon "l" lens. From my experience I have to agree and have been disappointed with the Canon Lens. Optically the Sigma is superior in a number of ways.

another great lens from sigma.

robert oneal, Amazon
8 February 2015
  • Summary: like most of the reviews say, this is a heavy lens. however, I'm very happy with the build quality and image quality. I never thought I'd be into third party lenses, but sigma is really rocking these days.

Discontinued gem

J. Zaring, Adorama
2 February 2015
  • Excerpt: I really wanted this lens over the nikon 24-120 but in the last week, sigma has discontinued it. Maybe to work on a new version that is speculated, but this one is no longer being made. What a shame.
  • Pros: Sharp, Versatile
