Excerpt: This lens has a great focal range. It's really sharp, has nice contrast and color. But after using fast glass, I wasn't thrilled with the bokeh. Guess I got spoiled. Another thing I noticed was that it missed focus at times, but that may have been my copy. I haven't heard of this being a problem.
Excerpt: As you know, Sigma has reinvented there lens line. I have now purchased three new (A)art &(S)sport sigma lenes. 150~600mm perfect out of the box,The 50mm 1.4 and now the 24~105, all perfect focus out of the box.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Nice Bokeh, Strong Construction
Excerpt: I received this lens from B&H yesterday and have been putting it through its paces. The build quality is solid, the autofocus is smooth, but tends to hunt more than the Canon 24-105 F4L it replaced. Image quality is sharp in the center, but softens considerably as you move away from center.
Excerpt: Preface: I have the Sigma 50mm 1.4 Art and the Sigma 35mm 1.4 Art. Love them both. Nothing I tried of Canon's was on par. Love that glass. So I though, "Hey, the 24-105 should be WAY better than the Canon!" so I bought this one. And… Yes. The Sigma is a wee bit sharper.
plusses and minuses butstill better than my Canon 24-105

Excerpt: My Canon 24-104 f4 broke the week before I had a wedding to shoot on the island of Jamaica leaving from NYC...the zoom got stuck and would only work 24-50mm. I did use my Canon 24-105 a lot but I also used the Canon 24-70 2.8 just as often before I bought the 24-105 and it never broke.
Excerpt: i got the lens a few weeks ago. used it already for studio portraits, day-time outdoor family portraits, parties at dark clubs , ext`. it works fine !! fast AF, sharp images, very nice colors. the weight doesnt bother me at all. the built quality is excellent.
Pros: Fast / accurate auto-focus, Strong Construction

Excerpt: This is an amazingly sharp, well color corrected lens. It performs better than either the Canon 24-105 on my Canon 1Dx or the 24-120 Nikon on my Nikon Df. In fact, this lens produces images that are better than many single focal length lenses.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Nice Bokeh, Rugged, Strong Construction
Excerpt: I love this lens. It has a great feel to it and is built like a tank. My only frustration with it was the wait time on receiving it from Sigma. It was back-ordered and took 2 months. But that disappeared quickly when I got the lens on my camera. I am more than pleased with the results.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Rugged, Strong Construction
Summary: Nice sharp lens and the manual focus feels great to adjust. Not the best for video because the focus zooms when turning. It's great for stills. I like this much better than my canon 24-105L. I just wished it was sealed and the focus didn't zoom in and out for video.
