Good and bad. But mostly good

Summary: I traded in my 24-105L for this and I am very happy. The sharpness of Sigmas lenses carries over to this very useful focal range! This lens WIDE OPEN at f/4 is sharper than my Canon 50mm f1.4 AT f/4!! This lens is in a different league than the old Canon. Some bad things? Focus breathing. Its pretty noticeable throughout the range, also the focus ring is TINY (check out the picture) and VERY uncomfortable to actually use!
Excerpt: I bought this lens along with Nikon D610 after very long analysis and study. I was much confused about the lens I should buy with D610 and I almost went for Nikon 24-120 f4 which was much costly. But, after considering many reviews especially ------------- also, I chatted with experts from B&H, Cameta Camera etc and also some semi-professionals who are also my friends, I decided to go with Sigma 24-105 f4. Now I am very much glad about that decision.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Nice Bokeh, Strong Construction
Excerpt: First of all... I just want to make clear that I am not a professional... just a photo freak amateur who moved from a DX5300 to the FX D750... I just took a couple of pictures with this lens only... less than 15.... and I can said that every good review about the IQ is true. it is amazing! the Focus is really fast! BUT.... please pay attention with the weight of this lens... it is pretty heavy and BIG!...
Pros: Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Strong Construction
Excerpt: The only thing I can add to the comments already provided is that images taken with this lens get lots of adjustment in Lightroom's Lens Profile correction. I've built a preset to make this correction upon import.
Pros: Fast / accurate auto-focus, Strong Construction
