One of the best deals for the Sony E mount

Thomas Roy, Amazon

  • Summary: Another quality bargain lens. I own the 30mm as well and both are nice. I removed the rear baffle on both for my Sony A7 and am amazed at the quality I can get from the combos. I do own some Contax G lenses which I love but the 28 has some issues on edges as does my 21 F4. Voigtlander, so the sigmas have better corner results.

Can't beat the I/O at this price.

  • Excerpt: Great lens for the price. Needed something more than the stock kit lens that came with my Nex 5t. This is a great addition to my set. Only issue is the nice silver finish gets easily scratched up. Otherwise great lens overall.
  • Pros: Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Nice Bokeh

Terrific lens for the price

  • Summary: After seeing the image quality from the kit 16-55mm power zoom kit lens that came with my Sony A6000 I wanted something that had much sharper resolution corner to corner. This lens does the trick, with images that are crisp and detailed with nice color saturation. The Sony APS-C crop factor makes this a 29mm focal length which is really nice as an all around focal length. The lens doesn't have image stabilization but with the faster aperture I haven't really missed it.

  • Excerpt: Unbelievably good for the $!! I have a NEX-7; this lens is light years better at this focal length than the kit zoom. Crystal clear, autofocus is fine, minimal if any chromatic aberration. Buy one- you won't be disappointed.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Strong Construction
  • Cons: None for the price

Sigma 19mm f2.8 DN Lens (Sony E)

Patrick E. Griffin, Amazon
19 February 2014
  • Summary: I bought this lens because it was rated better then the 16mm prime that Sony offered for their E mount NEX camera. even though this lens doesn't offer image stabilization I found that the low light performance of it with my NEX 3F is incredible. the reproduction of color is top notch, they popped out at you. so is the detail in my pictures.

Simply Amazing...

Amazon Customer, Amazon
16 February 2014
  • Summary: At $199.00 I was expecting some mediocre lens, but was blown away by the built and clarity of this lens. I took identical picture with this lens and with my Sony 18-200mm lens (at 18mm length) and the color depth and clarity of the Sigma was near perfect.. Package comes with a lens hood and a very decent lens case.
