I think I got a bad unit.

Akash, Amazon

  • Summary: Great lens, but the mount almost does not fit in my Olympus EPL6. It is too tight and not smooth. The metal grinds together liek the wheels on the NYC subway.

Very nice lens for night photography

rainrunner, Adorama

  • Excerpt: This lens was very sharp and easy to focus compared to the 16-50 kit lens for my Sony NEX5-T.The only drawback is it tends to show a lens flare when shooting a bright light like the sun or a bright moon.

Great lens but not for my style of shooting.

  • Summary: Beautiful lens with great quality but I never seem to use it. First of all it's an APS-C lens on a MFT mount so it is oversized. I also have never been a fan of so-called normal lenses since it rarely fits the way I see the scene.

Great lens and bang for the buck!

  • Summary: Really nice lens for the money. It is well packaged, has smooth focusing, and takes extremely crisp pictures. The lower f stop helps in general shooting conditions. I recommend rubbing your finger around the metal interface ring prior to mounting to your camera.

Very nice street photograpy lens

John Reid, Adorama

  • Excerpt: The 19mm on a micro four thirds is about 38mm field of view in 35mm terms. Similar to the 35 lens I used on my Leica back in the film days. A great lens for most purposes. This lens focuses close, real close. Works fine and takes great images.

Sharp in the center

  • Excerpt: I wanted a prime at a good general-purpose focal length. It was between this and the panasonic 20mm f1.7, but the latter cost much more. I saw the Sigma used here at Adorama and got it. Very pleased with the service and product. The lens arrived a couple days early and is in excellent condition.
  • Pros: Good image quality
  • Cons: Kind Of Big For M43

  • Summary: I received this as a birthday gift and immediately began using it. My observations are not scientific but those of an artist and fine art photographer. The lens is crisp and focuses very close allowing me to do beautiful closeups.

Good little lens but beware Warehouse discounted products.

I. Clements, Amazon

  • Summary: I got one of these through Amazon warehouse. The one I received was missing both front and rear caps, Even though boxed correctly. The front element was covered in dust and fingerprints! I returned that one and got a "new" lens that is working just fine thank you.
