  • Summary: My brother had bought a used Nikon D200 camera with a Nikor telephoto lens. He wanted something that he could use to take photo's of everything from flowers to family. I highly recommend this Sigma lens, becuase I own several Sigma lens and have always been happy with them.

Great!

17 February 2014
  • Summary: Great lens, easy to use and perfect for a starter lens. Mounted perfectly and had no issues with the lens. Everything was pretty self explanatory and the wide angle was a vast improvement over the stock lens.

Nice Lens

AmazonCustomer "AmazonCustomer", Amazon
8 April 2011
  • Summary: While I was using my Nikon D40, this lens was a wonderful improvement over my 50mm prime lens. Friends said that the color of my pictures improved significantly, although I'll swear I didn't notice any difference. The lens is flexible. It's a price performer. Now, bear in mind that I'm not a professional photographer.

Sigma 18-50mm F/2.8 EX DC Lens for Canon

rajkumarpaul, Ebay
5 April 2011
  • Summary: I tried this lens on my Canon 7D; it focuses very sharp in manual focus. But when I tried it with auto focusing, it was not that sharp, it was almost there but not quiet there. If you are okay with manual focusing all the time I guess this is a great lens. My experience with Sigma lens is kind of mixed.I love my Sigma 10-20 and 170 -500, but had to return two of the 2.8/f lenses.

Handy if you break that old kit lens

Michael X. Watman, Amazon
15 August 2010
  • Summary: This Sigma version of Nikon's standby kit lens does the job as a replacement for the original that you dropped on a pile of rocks when trying to make a quick switch to the 50-200 mm. Unless you bought just the body for one of these compatible cameras, there's not much else to draw you to buy this particular class of zoom lens.

Good lense

Matthew P. Lobur, Amazon
18 July 2010
  • Summary: Not a bad lens, you get what you pay for, I just use it for a smaller size zoom lens than the one that came with my D90, good lens over all though, especially for the price and yet to have a problem with it
