Quality Product From Sigma

  • Summary: The Sigma has decent IQ, and build quality far superior to the Canon 18-55. Has a nice feel and looks good on the camera (important to some people).

Great price! Solid lens.

Michael j Edwards, Amazon
9 June 2012
  • Summary: Cheap and has a really solid feel. Way better choice then the stock canon lense. Love the speed at 18mm. Images could be sharper but you get what you pay for. If your starting out this is the lense to get.

Great Lens, Great Price, Win-Win

bkbz, Amazon
12 April 2012
  • Summary: This Sigma lens is a great lens. First, the build quality of this lens is superb. I wasn't expecting to receive such a solid feeling lens for the price I paid. The best part about the design is that there is no external zoom, it is all internal. The picture quality of this lens is unbelieveable. For the price, there are few lenses that could even come close to the value of this len in terms of image quality.

Nice lens for a nice price

studysession, Amazon
24 March 2012
  • Summary: I wanted something with a lower aperture to replace the kit lens that came with my Canon XSi without spending a lot of money. I am very happy with the quality of pictures from using the lens. I have taken this on a hike around Baltimore harbor and did a variety of indoor and out door shooting. I am happy with the results of my purchase. I would highly recommend this lens to others.

Great lens for the money if you have a camera that does not have auto focus

corivus, Ebay
13 March 2012
  • Summary: Works really well but like many many others have noted, the F 2.8 only engages when your in the 18mm range if you go any further in it does not sit there. For what you pay for it the lens is worth it. I enjoy it but will prob be getting a Nikkor Lens down the road when I upgrade to a D7000. If you have a camera that already has Autofocus try a different lens.
