NO GOOD FOCUS

Excerpt: The lens itself has a great build quality but the focusing issues have worn my pacience out. I tried it on my 70D and each time it caches a different focus area, even if I don't move the lens or the subject at all. I even messed with the microfocus adjustment but no luck whatsoever.
Summary: be careful if you own a D5300 because the auto focus is crazy on this and 70% will come out blurry or not sharp at all. I ordered the sigma usb but a lens should work right out of the box and I dont have time to sit hours playing around with sliders with little instructions on what they do.
Excerpt: I had to max out my Canon 70d's micro AF adjustment for horrible front focusing, it hits about 80% of the time now, unacceptable. I feel this lens has a hard time focusing, HOWEVER, if everyone can correct for it in their cameras or with Sigma's dock, then it's clear, they send them out either un...
Summary: Its an AMAZING lens when it works. I have used this lens at a local car show and the results were just really disappointing. I would say 85% of my shots were out of focus and the rest were SPOT on and very very sharp!
Summary: TL;DR - you will need the calibration dock and to spend many hours fiddling with it. Do you like things that don't work out of the box, but can be made to (mostly work) after hours of customization/calibration? Then this is for you. I've tried this on a 7D and a 7D mark ii.
Summary: Let me preface this review by saying I paired this lens with a brand new Canon 70D. So I know the issues are with the lens and not my camera. I did extensive research on this lens. everyone and I mean EVERYONE on Youtube says it is amazing. I found it lacking. + Pros: wonderful build and feel.
Summary: This lens has trouble focusing on the Canon 70D. 85% of my shots were out of focus so I had to return it. Also, this lens is simply too heavy. The build quality is outstanding. The colors and bokeh are beautiful. It's a very promising lens but it needs a diet and more accurate focusing.
Summary: UPDATE: I have now sent the lens to Sigma twice to correct an obvious focus problem. Both times Sigma sent it back, it still would not focus properly. So now I have to send it back to Sigma New York who will then be sending it to Sigma Japan.
Summary: After reading a lot of good reviews and browsing other forums I decide to upgrade my kit. I needed something much sharper and low light capable than my 28-135 3.5-5.6. After smooth delivery I start running some sharpness tests. I was really disappointed with results.
