Very disappointed. It should've been clearly noted in the product ...

Summary: I just picked up this lens and haven't even taken it to try it out, but right out of the box I discovered one major issue. I bought this lens because it also has Optical Stabilizer (OS), but in the brochure that came with it, it says the OS does not work with Sony DSLRs. Very disappointed.
Excerpt: WARNING! If you have a full frame camera do not buy this lens.compatibility check says this lens will work with my Canon 6D. Only if you want a circular photos from 18mm- 100mm and a vignette around each photo at 250mm.
Excerpt: I first gave it four stars because of the versatility. I used it for images for the web and sharing sites first. It looked fine, but later when I tried to make larger prints, I found that the images were often far too soft. Also I noticed that images were often out of focus.
Excerpt: I purchased this on recommendation of the sales person for use on my Cannon T3i. I wanted a lens to replace the two kit lenses so I would not have to carry and switch between them. Bottom line, a disappointment. I returned it.
Wish I could rate the product ordered, instead a story of bait-and-switch...

Summary: UPDATE #5: DECIDED TO SEE IF ORDERING FROM THE SELLER (47TH STREET PHOTO) THAT DOES NOT HAVE AMAZON FULFILLMENT AND FINALLY RECEIVED THE CORRECT LENS. GOTTA SAY THE OS WORKS WELL AND IT'S A BETTER LENS OVERALL THAN THE NEWER "MACRO" VERSION.
WARNING: The Sony mount DON'T include OS (discountinued by Sigma)

Summary: I got this item last month right here, at Amazon (Sony mount). My biggest motivation was the OS, as I have a Sony Nex 5N and wanted this lens to use with my Alpha Lens adapter (LAEA2). Different than Sony's Alpha models (A55, A65, A77,...
Excerpt: I went from a Canon to this. It just doesn't take the same quality photos. In addition it is hard to get up-close shots and the far away ones are grainy and not as clear. This is probably because the lens is hard to keep steady as it is quite heavy. It also has the hardest time focusing.
Pros: Easily Interchangeable
Cons: Blurry Focus, Heavy, Poor in Low Light, Slow Focus
Excerpt: I have a Sigma 18-125mm which I really like. Bought a 18-250 for a backup for my Tamron 18-270mm. Received lens had a tight spot when you zoomed about halfway out. Thought it might get better with us so I took 1-200 photos zooming on each one. No change, returned it for replacement.
