Acceptable, given the price

SLR, Amazon
1 June 2013
  • Summary: I've used this Sigma lens on a Nikon D3200 for both indoor and outdoor shooting. The "good": this low-price lens presents a reasonable walk-around alternative option to the very expensive Nikon counterpart. The Sigma is fairly small and not too heavy for a lighter camera like the 3200. Unlike other reviewers, I did not find that the lens has trouble focusing (searching) in either outdoors or low light indoor situations.

Would not Focus

Kelley Ames, Amazon
18 May 2013
  • Summary: This lens took great photos when it worked. I have a Nikon 5100 and I took several photos with this lens and my 2 other Nikon lenses and the quality was very similar. The reason I purchased this lens was for the range. I hate having to switch back and forth between my 18-55 and 55-200 lens and did not want to shell out $900 for a Nikon lens. I was at my daughter's softball game and when I went to take photos no matter what I did my camera would not focus with this lens.

Hmm Not sure about this item

Mike, Amazon
24 September 2013
  • Summary: Tested this on several camera's and I must say the aperture is very slow even at f3.5 and images were darker than they should of been. Item returned for a full refund as there are better lens for the same price or even cheaper.

Not Sure

Galley Slave, Amazon
26 July 2013
  • Summary: Fast delivery from Amazon as usual, brill service I own a Canon 7D and not sure if this Lens is working properly Ive had it for a few weeks now, it seems to be out of focus most of the time and quite blurred when in auto focus, but this could be pherhaps because of the fixed 6.3 aperture Im not sure, Manual focus seems to work but not Auto,I will have to test some more, but I own a Sigma 17-70mm Lens and its much sharper and has a better deth of field than the Sigma...

Gut aber nicht gut genug

nie wieder mit dem, Amazon
17 December 2013
  • Summary: Fokusierung ist schwach bis schlecht.
