Summary: I am just an amateur photographer. I just take family pics so this was a big purchase for me. I have about 5 lenses for my Nikon D-80 and I use this one 90% of the time. I've had it 6 years now and still no problem.
Summary: Needed a better lens then the one I got with my Sony A33. Good speed lens and I have no complaints. I tried the Tamron lens and had nothing but problems with it. I had to return it. I have-not noticed any distortions and I have taken a few low light photos with great results.
Great price, on-time delivery, product according to the announcement!

Summary: I bought this lens for my new Pentax K-5, which I decided to buy body-only and then get a lens superior to the kit lens that comes with it (which is decent, but I wanted better and more luminous). So after quite a bit of research on Internet forums and checking prices, I settled on the Sigma 17-70 (f/2.8-4), and I am very happy with it.
Summary: I have a Pentax 200mm F2.8 on a Pentax K5. I needed a good fast lens in the 17-70 range and the Sigma came out on top of the lot in all the reviews. It feels very well made for a lens at this price and it is fast and sharp. Because of it's speed it works well indoors in poor lighting conditions, Although not a true Macro it still gets in closer than the kit lenses. PROS-I love it CONS-None.
