Excerpt: I really just want to comment on my initial impressions after receiving this lens kit (lens, filter, cleaning kit) yesterday evening. The Tiffen filter fits great and appears to be clear enough for my tastes, but I have not had a chance to check its quality yet.
Pros: Fast / accurate auto-focus, Nice Bokeh, Strong Construction
Excerpt: I normally use a standard fixed focal length lens and have several. But this lens changed my thinking. For the bulk of my work this lens will cover it and increases my working speed. The lens is super sharp. The images are far better than a couple of Nikon lenses I have.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Nice Bokeh, Rugged, Strong Construction
Excerpt: I did a lot a research before buy this lens. I have only had it for a few weeks and so far I am extremely pleased. This is an awesome lens. Great for low light situation and just a great all around lens in general.
Pros: Consistent Output, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Nice Bokeh, Rugged, Strong Construction
Excerpt: I use the lens for family gatherings, pictures of my child, and general photography. It is a welcome replacement to my canon 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 kit lens. The f/2.8 aperture throughout the zoom range is great for low light use. Photos are sharp, and the autofocus is smooth, quiet, and quick.
Pros: Fast / accurate auto-focus, Nice Bokeh, Rugged
Excerpt: For me this lens replaces the Normal Zoom "Kit" lens from Canon. I felt that I was missing out on quality and sharpness with the low cost, plastic mount Canon lens. This Sigma is a big step up in speed and quality.
Pros: Fast / accurate auto-focus, Rugged, Strong Construction
