Amazing lens just heavy

Excerpt: I use my copy on a a7r with Sony's adapter with AF motor. Crazy sharp even wide open and the added stabilization is just lovely. Being the only 150mm macro lens in the world, this lens is truely underated. This lens has faster AF then any 180mm macro lens and it's lighter. I use it for portraits, macro, range, candids, product, food, bokeh and so much more. Construction is great but not sure about weather proofing. Glass is excellent and MTF charts show that.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Nice Bokeh, Rugged
Excerpt: I love shooting pictures of insects, birds and flowers. Getting use to being further from my subject has taken some time for me with this Macro. It definitely has it's advantages like not spooking little creatures. The crispness of the pictures/subject taken with this lens are utterly amazing. I use it with my Nikon D80. It is heavy, but the lens is well built, no lens creep like I feel with some of my Nikon lens.
Excerpt: This lens is the whole reason I purchased a new camera kit. It's tack sharp. Most reviewers agree, those that don't are what I like to call "wrong"! It does hunt a little when on AF in macro, but you should be using manual focus for that anyway - you're a photographer! This is a SUPERB lens. Sorry I could only give it 5 stars.
Pros: Beautifel Bokeh, Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast Af In Non Macro, Nice Bokeh, Rugged, Strong Construction
Excerpt: I've had the lens for about 8 months now. I used to own the older Sigma 180mm macro and I wanted to give the OS on the 150mm a try. It does a very nice job! Image quality is superb, super sharp, color/contrast is great and the bokeh is wonderful. The lens isn't all that heavy so shooting hand-held isn't a chore. all in all... very pleased with the build and performance of the lens. Still a Sigma fan.
Excerpt: My most recent purchase from B&H is the newest 150mm macro lens by Sigma. As a nature photographer, I find that not only do lions, rhinos, foxes and eagles, etc., get my attention, but so do those tiny creatures in the grass -- bugs, lizards, butterflies, praying mantis and others. This new and updated macro, with its f/2.8 aperture, with optical stabilization, will permit me to get full frame, 1: 1, 1: 2, 1: 3, etc.
Pros: Consistent Output, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Magnification Indicator, Manual Focus Over-ride, Nice Bokeh, Rugged, Strong Construction
Excerpt: I used this lens for a macro photography class. Wow, I can't say enough great things about it. It performs amazingly with the sharpest, clearest close-up pictures I've ever seen. It has a little bit of trouble finding it's focus at times. But the pictures I got from that class were outstanding. It has a very solid construction, if a bit on the heavy side. But then again, I'm used to using my little 40mm f/2.8 macro lens, which doesn't compare in performance.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Nice Bokeh, Strong Construction
Excerpt: Excited to take this with me on an upcoming trip to Costa Rica. A friend recommended this lens and it doesn't disappoint. My only nit pick is the hood doesn't fit reversed on the lens for storage.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Rugged, Strong Construction
