Don't leave home without it! :D

Mr.G., B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: THE GOOD: - Phenomenally large view for landscapes. - Fast auto-focus. THE BAD: - Autofocus does NOT work on the Nikon D810. - No weather sealing. All together, this is a "MUST HAVE" lens when it comes to gigantic buildings, large places and other landscape photography.

Meh. Not a great lens, not a bad lens.

  • Excerpt: The Sigma 12-24mm is an ok lens, but that's about it. With a maximum aperture of f4.5-5.6, it's slow, and edge sharpness is not that good at times - you want to stop down a couple of stops. I shoot adventure and extreme sporting events, and need a superwide regularly.

  • Summary: Building with great materials, nice image quality. My only objection is that I can't use filters low focal length

Almost good.

  • Summary: Okay, but the way you have to use filters on this lens is awkward.

Not a bad lens for the price

  • Summary: Rather than spending a lot of money for the highly recommended Nikon super wide or the Canon, I opted for this model. This gives me the opportunity to experiment with wide angle photography to see if I like it and how much I will use a wide angle lens before committing to a more expensive lens.

Be careful - no filters!

CyberMage, B&H Photo
13 January 2012
  • Excerpt: Great lens, but it has an extreme downside: you cannot use filters with it. If you are a landscape photographer, that's a showstopper. Think about it - no UV filter to protect the lens, no polarizer, no graduated ND.

Eigentlich bemerkenswert.....

Klaus Gruber, Amazon
19 February 2015
