  • Excerpt: When i bought the Sigma 12-24 i was not expecting a fast lens, but for the price tag i was expecting good optics that will provide consistent and sharp results. I am using the Sigma with my 7D mark II (it is not compatible with my full frame 5D Mark III) and the results i am getting are far from...

  • Excerpt: I use this lens for interior real estate photography on a full frame Canon 6D. I generally shoot at about 15mm FL and reserve shooting wider for extremely tight spots such as small bathrooms. Good Points: Very pleased with the sharpness and clarity of photos.
  • Pros: Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Sharp And Clear Photos, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Excessive vignetting

Not Sharp

  • Excerpt: I used this product with my Canon 5D Mark III. Nice lens, built well, I didn't think it looked very sharp. The 12mm looks great but overall the lens did not give off the sharpness I was looking for.
  • Pros: Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Lightweight
  • Cons: Blurry Focus

Wide but beware color fringing

  • Excerpt: Yes it's wide but after you get rid of the edge color fringing (I used on A900) the images are soft. Best to use profile in photoshop. I sent this lens back.

  • Excerpt: Regardless of subject matter, this lens produces somewhat soft images at all apertures, especially at or around 12mm. It is also somewhat bulky and heavy.

SOFT!

28 March 2012
  • Excerpt: way too soft, I hate to spend the extra, but the 14mm 2.8 L II is better by such a huge margin that it's not even funny, seriously, it's not funny.
  • Cons: Blurry Focus

Wwiiiiddeeee but not so sharp

JasonPC, WEX
23 April 2012
  • Summary: Eye-popping UWA view (on a D700) but the lack of sharpness, especially around edges of frame, meant the lens had to be returned. Pity, as the possibilities of the wide viewpoint could have been fun.
  • Pros: Cheap price
  • Cons: Lack of sharpness
