great lens

  • Excerpt: It's a great lens! I gave it 4 stars, because I get chromatic (pinkish) aberration at the very horizontal edges, but other than that it's great. Maybe it's because the outer lens is a bubble. It's a keeper!

Great 1st fish eye

  • Excerpt: If you have a crop sensor, the 10mm is the way to go. 15mm is for full frame! I almost made the mistake of buying the 15mm for my 60D, but i went into B&H superstore, and the guys there were really helpful while letting me test out the 2 lenses. if you are buying the 10mm with the intention of stepping up into a full frame camera in the near future, the built in lens hood gets in the way in every shot.
  • Pros: Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Strong Construction

  • Excerpt: I am trying to use the product for that "great" shot. Not the run of the mill "fish eye" photo. It seems to work very nicely, it helps me be more discerning in my choice of shots, I need that.
  • Pros: Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Strong Construction

Fisheye benefits

Artistrouble, B&H Photo
7 September 2011
  • Excerpt: This lens received a lot of reviews and I found them to be very useful when I purchased the lens, therefore don't want to repeat what was already said. Yes, this is not the best lens, but this is the only one available in it's class for x1.6 Canon cameras. Price is a bit high, but the quality is acceptable. What I want to point out is that fisheye really helps to tell the story of the subject.
  • Pros: Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Lightweight
  • Cons: Not as sharp as desired

they got it right

  • Excerpt: first i was hesitant about buying a sigma lens i wanted the canon fisheye zoom but since i have a canon 50d the 1400 dollar price seems too high to pay so i looked at the sigma fisheye, read customer reviews, i have just used it for a couple of shots this thing is sharp, a filter people is a must, i got myself a neutral density. i hope to use this lens during all 4 seasons. i give four stars only that the angle of view is not 180 degrees but only 167.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Rugged, Sharp at all focal length, Strong Construction
