  • Excerpt: The Hyper-Sonic Motor (HSM) not only makes the autofocus practically silent but it also means that Nikon D-SLRs without built-in motors can still use autofocus mode. The autofocus itself was quick and precise, with no signs of hunting or sluggishness and the photos it produced were sharp. The design is fairly large and heavy but this makes it feel sturdy and the Sigma EX coating makes for a really high-quality finish.
