Outstanding lens

283nova, Adorama
24 July 2014
  • Excerpt: This lens is more than I ever expected. The focal lengths are perfect for property photos and a fast lens correction in Lightroom puts everything into place. I love the fixed 3.5 and the 10mm. I have no problems with the SB800 flash providing enough light and coverage. The 82mm lens size is a lot of exposed glass so none of my other filters fit. Get what you need for filters when you order the lens so your ready to go when it arrives.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight

  • Excerpt: I considered getting the Pentax UW zoom. All ratings, however, placed this above the Pentax. Has proved to be the right choice.

Great lens, good price

  • Excerpt: This lens is great for capturing a very wide field of view. That makes it highly useful photographing rooms, landscapes or any composition where you want to include a wide scene. I like the fast, constant f3.5 max aperture, and the lens is very well constructed. If you want to know the gritty details,...... It is soft in the corners at 10mm and f3.5, but it improves quickly with increasing focal length and smaller apertures.
  • Pros: Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Strong Construction

Great ultra-wide choice!

Dave, B&H Photo
18 April 2014
  • Excerpt: There are lots of good choices in the ultra-wide angle Nikon DX lens category. I ended up choosing the Sigma 10-20mm f3.5 because it strikes a nice balance between focal length range, optical performance and cost. I was looking for a lens to supplement my Nikon 16-85mm and provide better performance at the wide end. The Sigma does that nicely with low distortion where the lenses overlap (16-20mm).As for the Sigma's performance, I have no complaints..........
  • Pros: Color Rendition, Construction quality, Good in low light, Sharp
  • Cons: Large filter size

Outstanding Lens

Ranbud, B&H Photo
20 March 2014
  • Excerpt: I decided on this lens as it was the F3.5 vs the F4.5. It takes great photos and I have yet to see any real vignetting. The photos are crisp and clean and I could not have asked for a better Wide Angle. Very happy with it! The auto Focus is quick so far I have seen no aberrations at either 10mm or 20mm. Seems very constant.

Beautiful results

Edward V. Byrne, Amazon
12 February 2014
  • Summary: I've owned this great lens for about eight months, and although it doesn't come out of my bag a lot, when I need or want a VERY wide angle shot the Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 has no equal. The color and contrast it delivers without any post-production modification is truly amazing. Every image has an eye-catching "snap," even if the subject is very hum-drum.
