Excerpt: Bought this lens for a Nikon body and the performance of the lens has been stellar. I'm big into low light photography and am always looking at lenses that offer the best f stop range, so when I saw that this was an f/1.4 I knew I had to check it out. It works great.
Pros: Consistent Output, Easily Interchangeable, Low Light, Strong Construction
Excerpt: Very sharp from corner to corner when stopped down to ƒ2.8, ƒ1.4-2.8 is still very sharp but hey, it's a very narrow DOF so what do you expect! Possibly THE best lens for astrophotography, no coma in the corners and CA (chromatic aberration) is very well controlled. Recommend it.
Pros: Contrast, Nice Bokeh, Sharp, Strong Construction
Excerpt: I have the lens a little over a year now. So I can give a fairly accurate review. I have used theis lens on my Canon with adapter, a Nikon D600, Red One MX and an Epic. If you use this lens with an APS-C sensor like all of the above with the exception of the D600. It is sharp corner to corner.
Pros: Close Focus, Consistent Output, Great bokeh, Price, Strong Construction
Excerpt: I purchased this lens primarily for astro-imaging after acquiring the Bower 8mm and Samyang 85mm; both of which yield great stars edge-to-edge on an APS-C sensor. The 24mm lens is not as good BUT still usable if one doesn't mind knocking 10% off the edges...
Pros: Easily Interchangeable, Nice Bokeh, Strong Construction
Excerpt: Got the lens in 4 months ago. good price for a fast wide angle lens. tight manual focus ring and good center sharpness when wide open. Howerver, what you get is what you paid: I found right side back focused after get lens alignment kit. I send it to Elite Brands (US importer?) to get repaired.
