While it does work for close-ups there does not appear ...

Summary: While it does work for close-ups there does not appear to be any type of ring flash that will syn with it. I purchased this lense to use at work which requires me to take similar photos on a day to day basis, same magnification, but there is not way to do this with the lense.
Excerpt: Great lens. Excellent macro detail and also very useful as a portrait lens. Very pleased. I used to shoot with Olympus and loved their 60mm macro. This lens easily matches that one in every way and perhaps a little better. Sample photos attached.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Nice Bokeh, Rugged, Strong Construction
Summary: I love macrophotography, and this lens seemed like a great addition to my NX2000 kit. At the minimum focus distance of 7.4 inches (0.187 m) and maximum f/2.8 aperture, the depth of field is a miniscule 0.043 inches (1.1 mm)!
Summary: I recently purchased the Samsung NX30 camera with a kit lens (18-55). It is a big change from the Nikon D7000. Since a lot of my work is macro photography I knew I would not be able to compare the two systems without a macro lens for the Samsung. It was a good choice.
Summary: If your subject is close or small, this is the lens to use. It will produce a sharp and detailed image. There are 1080p videos on Youtube taken with this lens on various of the NX cameras. I recommend checking them out at full resolution.
