Summary: This lens did not come in genuine Samsung packaging or with a serial number? It came in a box wrapped in bubble wrap. Now owners manual or warranty card. It looks new and compared to my other Samsung lenses it looks genuine. I am just not sure why it isn't in the proper box with the proper paperwork. I can't register it with out a serial number.
Summary: The model number of this 50mm-200mm telephoto lens is EX-T50200IB/US which normally retail for $299.99 and is made for the samsung NX100 camera. But you may used it on NX1000, 2000 and 300. The later model is EX-T50200CSBUS which normally retail for $349.99. Comparing the specs of both EX-T50200IB/US and EX-T50200CSBUS, they seem to be the same. Best buy website is selling the EX-T50200IB/US for $119, but it says shipping is not available.
Summary: This is a good general purpose zoom lens but is a little slow at full zoom (f5.6); this is not to much of a problem with high ISO settings and the improved performance of Samsung cameras. My only issue is the less than smooth zoom that makes video capture with zoom very unsteady.
Summary: didn't take to this lens. When trying to snap birds etc 20ft away at 200mm, the results were never as revealing and sharply focussed as I wanted. I gave up on it and returned it as it didn't deliver on my expectations.
Summary: It had been reduced to £139.99, when I bought it, which made it very good value for the money, but I wouldn't exactly rave about it. Sort of does what it's supposed to do, but not brilliant. I am sure there are better lenses out there!
