Ineffective OIS in video mode?

Excerpt: Although optically excellent, I am finding the OIS to be very ineffective in video mode when paired with my NX1. For some reason the OIS shifts its effectiveness as soon as you put it in video mode. There is a dramatic reduction in the stabilization. This doesn't occur with other Samsung OIS lenses attached to the NX1. In fact the 18-200mm has a far more effective OIS at the same 200mm, but unfortunately isn't nearly as sharp.
Summary: Good optics, not too much light degradation, bayonet mounting, haven't figured out the "iFin" function, not as close as my Nikon cool pix 520 gets so I am spoiled with long long zoom, the price is more than say Vivitar and for an amateur like me the value is not there. I really think that I am not sophisticated enough to realize how good (if it is) this lens is. I also had trouble focusing if I got within 4 feet of my subject, even manually.
Summary: This lens did not come in genuine Samsung packaging or with a serial number? It came in a box wrapped in bubble wrap. Now owners manual or warranty card. It looks new and compared to my other Samsung lenses it looks genuine. I am just not sure why it isn't in the proper box with the proper paperwork. I can't register it with out a serial number.
