Not too heavy or bulky.

H. razvi "Photog", Amazon
21 October 2014
  • Summary: Great lens right here. Its not too heavy. I take it hiking worn around my neck for hours and its not awkward at all. I am hoping to capture a cardinal on a tree with a snowy background this winter. The manual focus is easy to use. Without a tripod you will need a very steady hand and some luck to capture moving objects from far away.

50-200mm

  • Summary: Oh Yeah! Another lens for the camera bag. I have had this 50-200mm III lens for about a 3 mouths now. After reading some reviews on it I was wondering if it was going to be the model III. I wanted all the features of the 18-55mm III lens that came with the camera and the new one has them all. This is the white model, which looks really cool with the black body.

Great add-on for close-in shots

T. Meunier, Amazon
7 October 2014
  • Summary: Added this lens to our camera for a safari we took. It got us some amazing photos on our safari. Lots of the other folks were using auto-focus cameras and getting frustrated as their cameras were focusing on branches or shrubs, and we were able to zoom in and focus on the actual fur or eyeball of the game!

Superb lens!

Troy Glidden, Amazon
20 September 2014
  • Summary: I am not a professional photographer by any means, but this camera sure helps me achieve the perfect shot! This lens as actually HELPED me learn how to correctly adjust my photos to get the perfect shot that I want to capture. The lens is HEAVY, but it is worth it. I never leave my house without my camera and this lens in tow. I have the 18 - 55 mm lens as well, but this one is my default lens as I take many shots that are not close up.

Great lens for the money!

Amazon Customer, Amazon
19 September 2014
  • Summary: This is a very good quality lens for the money. I have a Nikon 18-200 VR F/3.5 lens which cost hundreds of dollars more and this lens is right up there with the Nikon. It's not a heavy lens and I carry it along with the Samsung 18-55 lens in a Lowepro StreamLine 250 bag. The image quality is great for my type of shooting and you will not regret buying it.
