Excerpt: Research NX lenses and you'll find near universal love for the 30 f2 pancake. It is tiny, light weight, and optically great. Giving a near normal FOV it works great for general photography. This lens makes an NX camera a wonderful and serious upgrade from a P&S camera without having to add huge size. The f2 aperture will earn its money in lower light where a P&S will struggle and/or us its unflattering flash.
Best Value lens for ANY mirrorless camera system... EASILY

Summary: If you have a Samsung mirrorless, this is a MUST BUY. I've played around with a lot of various lenses for many mirrorless camera systems (sony, m4/3, fuji, etc). When it came down to deciding on a system my criteria was largely based on the following: 1. Image Quality 2. Bang for the Buck 3. Portability Much of the reason I chose the NX system is because of this lens.
Excerpt: I got this lens together with NX300 that comes with 18-55mm lens, but I've been using the 30mm lens much more. Focal length is great for everyday use like street photography or portraits. To my amateur eye, photos look great and it can produce a nice bokeh. It's relatively small, so I can fit the camera with the lens mounted on inside my coat pocket. It's still larger than a compact camera, but does fit.
Summary: Prior to this lens, my only experience with prime lenses was with an old Pentax DSLR I had. Compartively speaking, this lens exceeded all of my expectations. In fact, I havent use the kit lens I received with my nx300 since i bought this. Its incredibly sharp and has fast autofocus (compared to some other NX lenses I've used). Most importantly, though, is the fact that nearly every pic I take with it looks great. If you have an NX camera - this is a must own.
Summary: Bought this with my new NX300 and it is an amazing lens. It makes the camera pocket sized and takes wonderfull photos of my two year old. It's fast with great bokah. This is my everyday lens and I can't recommend it enough.
Summary: Very impressive lens. Compact and sharp enough wide open. I'm not a pixel peeper, I don't shoot wall charts and examine them at 100%. In real world use it is a lot of fun to use. A really nice focal length for general use (45mm in FF/35mm equivalent). F2 allows for a good amount of light in. It produces very nice out of focus blur. Samsung is impressive in their efforts with the NX system. They have a very nice lineup of lenses available, and they are producing more.
