Awesome low light performance, super sharp & small
29 May 2013
Summary: I bought my NX1000 along with this 30mm and I have to admit the 20-50mm kit lens has been sitting on a bag after I shot enough to compare them. Night photography is great, the large F2.0 aperture paired with the awesome high ISO performance of the camera make for clear, sharp and nicely lit scenes. The only other lens out there on the NX system that could match or surpass this one right now is the 45mm F1.8.
Summary: This is a ridiculously good lens period. I got mine from a seller here on Amazon for just $210 in perfect condition. He threw in a great UV filter and leather case as well. Anyways! I've been using the NX 20-50mm kit lens that comes with the Samsung NX1000. That lens works perfectly fine good detail. But this lens in the right hands absolutely blows that lens away in low lighting. The f/2 aperture takes in a lot of light making any scene crystal clear even at full crop.
Summary: This lens allowes to make good quality, sharp pictures, has virtually no distortion and although its 1:2 characteristic would not necessarily suppose, it works perfectly in darker situations. It has no lens priority mode, that may be its sole shortcoming, in usage there is no real need for that. It is ideal for NX200 camera.
Summary: I had two Olympus EP-2 bodies and the Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 lens, other Pansonic lenses too. I was very happy with them, until I got the Samsung NX200 with this 30mm lens. This lens with NX200 just blows away the Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 lens. After I compare images with 100% cropped pixel by pixel between them, I found this lens is a super star! My friend just got his Nikon D800, so I asked him to take same sample photos to cropped 100% side by side compare.
Summary: The 30m F2 samsung for NX cameras is excellent, lightweight, sharp, contrasty, great color. I use it with the nx 10 and it is a great lightweight, take with me everywhere combo. In terms of image quality, I put it in between my pentax 21mm and 43mm for overall quality. Less distortion than the 21, but still a little present. no formal test yet, just web shots and a couple of prints, but the sharpness is excellent wide open.
Summary: Tack sharp and so small it almost disappears on the front of the camera. I use this with my NX100, and the whole package is nearly pocketable with this lens mounted. Autofocus is silent and the manual ring has a good feel. Manual focus is about a half turn from near to far. There's no i-Function button on this lens, and while it would be a welcome addition I don't really miss it too much. No noticeable distortion even wide open.
Summary: This is an excelent lens and razor sharp cristal clear very fast F2.0 small and compact to cary with my wonderfull camera NX10 also it is lower price compard to other competers highly recomend this lens to see a real picturs out of this lens, search the net coz if I upload my picture it will be miss up in amazon, it will be resized or reprocess and lose the quality
