Summary: Great lens. Took engagement photos with it and they turned out well. Be aware that 45mm does make it a little difficult to use indoors. I find myself using the 30mm pancake much more often with the NX300. I don't use this lens a ton, so hope I can use it more to get my moneys worth in the end. Winter in Phoenix should provide more opportunities to go outside and snap some picks.

Summary: I am little more than a beginner and of course this is not a Samsung E lens. But I am literally shocked how well this lens performs at portrait and landscape photos. The sharpest foreground subjects while just the right amount of softening of backgrounds with portraits. The landscape photos are crystal clear. Low light performance is a 7.5 out of 10. I do find myself just grabbing this lens with my NX30 and off to my photo uses.
Summary: In terms of quality this lens delivers very well, and its price tag is not too hefty compared to other lenses in the line-up. However, I recommend making sure that this lens will be useful to your needs. This is not a good macro lens, and its not really a portrait lens even though Sammy says it is. It depends how you define "portrait" in terms of your own style.
Summary: I recently purchased the Samsung NX 45mm Camera Lens and find it to be an exceptionally good lens for the price. Besided the kit lens that came with the camera, I also own Samsung's 30mm "pancake" lens. The 45mm lens is ideal for portraits, delivering a very nice bokeh. Focus is fast enough and accurate and images a extremely sharp. Image quality is roughly the same as the 30mm lens so if you like that lens you should like this one as well.
