Summary: I've owned this lens for about a year now and I absolutely love it. I do primarily nature photography and this is a great story-telling lens, a great landscape lens, a fantastic night sky lens, and as long as you correct for it's slight distortion, a great architecture lens as well. So much fun!
Summary: This is my go to lens for any landscape pictures. It's a little soft at 2.8 but by 5.6 it is razor sharp. Many complain that it's manual focus but again look how cheap it is, besides anything beyond a few feet just focus to infinity and you're good.
Summary: I'm just a beginner in the world of DSLR Photography and purchased this lens upon the recommendation of an instructor to photograph landscapes and other wide angle shots. I've used the lens for about a month and picture quality very good.
Summary: Great lens. Just played with it one day but the pictures are so wide! in 2 weeks going to do a Milky Way shoot and that is why I got this lens. Cannot wait. Should capture some awesome pictures!
Summary: This lens is awesome! I bought it for my Pentax K-01 and it works really well. With Pentax models it does allow on screen digital aperture control while in Auto on the aperture ring of the lens and while in aperture mode on the camera.
Summary: I am a pentax user and the pentax 14 2.8 is expensive. For wide angle, manual focusing works just fine and saved me 2/3 of the money. Surprisingly this lens is extremely when the lighting condition is good, for example daylight outdoor.
Summary: I have high hope for this lens due to the so many positive reviews. OTOH, I don't have much expectations because it is so much cheaper than comparable Canon, Nikon or Pentax counter-part. Let me just get to the bottom. It is extremely sharp and has incredible resolution.
