Good lens for the money

  • Excerpt: Normally, I stay away from non-nikkor lenses but the price and positive reviews pushed me into buying the Rokinon 14mm 2.8. It's manual focus but I'm old and grew up on manual focus (and an ultra-wide is far more forgiving than a telephoto). This lens is sharp with decent contrast and color.

  • Summary: a very good lens sharp reliable and a very sturdy build quality. Compared to the Nikon auto focus model it is more affordable and if you dont need auto focus you will save a lot of money and get a similar image quality. I use it for landscape and wedding photography, to create a dramatic moody image
