Super wide coverage

Motlama, B&H Photo
  • Excerpt: This lens will give your fixed lens super wide coverage. At wide aperatures the edges are blurred like an old fashion lens, which can be a really nice effect. Three or four stops in at it gives a nice clear super wide picture.
  • Pros: Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Strong Construction

good value - a bit soft at the edges

  • Excerpt: This lens makes it possible to get a very wide view from my Canon G30. It can only be used at full-wide. I use it without the wide angle adapter setting on the camera. The focus is still good but sometimes the edges are a bit soft.
  • Pros: Achieves The Goal
  • Cons: Blurry edges

Nice Wide Angle for the Canon XA20

Vidcamp, B&H Photo
5 November 2013
  • Excerpt: Fits nicely with the camera handle on. Century Precision Optics DS-FEWA-58 0.3x Ultra Fish-eye Adapter Lens did not fit with camera handle. Clarity is as good as Century lens. Not a zoom-able lens. Much better then the Canon wide angle lens.
  • Pros: Strong Construction

Good lens

  • Excerpt: I like this lens because the angle of view, is exactly what i needed. I only use this lens for special effects on wedding events. corner sharpness is not the best, I color grade use a vignette and that takes care of the fuzziness. Still this lens fulfill my needs. If sharpness is critical to you i suggest you look at century optics or even opteka.

  • Excerpt: I used it for the general purpose of a fisheye... to get more into the frame. It works great. I haven't used it enough to say much more about it.
  • Pros: Easily Interchangeable, Lightweight

Awesome lens

  • Excerpt: I purchased this item to use on a panasonic HD video camera that I use for filming extreme sports. Skydiving / water skiing / skiing etc. The clarity and sharpness is great, the overall fish eye image being crisp to the very edge of the frame. I would recommend this to anybody that wants a great image for playback or reproduction.
  • Pros: Awesome image

Bigger is Better

  • Excerpt: Very nice, clean lens. I wanted more of a fisheye effect but overall this is an excellent choice. For some reason people don't understand that they're not getting full zoom-through with most fisheye lenses so they reduce the rating. Absurd. Don't buy it if you are too dumb to read the specs and limitations beforehand. This lens is pretty large so make sure the circumference doesn't get in the way of anything (it blocks my built-in flash, for example).
  • Pros: Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Strong Construction

Perfect for the Canon HF S10

Danno, B&H Photo
26 August 2010
  • Excerpt: I use this semi-fisheye with my Canon HF S10 and my GlideCam HD1000 to film weddings. The results are incredible. This is by far the best lens I've used with the HF S10. It's an ultra wide lens with just enough fisheye, but not too much to make your subject cheesy. Very classy and tasteful. The loss of light is slight if any. Obviously, you will get out of focus when zooming in, but you can zoom in a bit and stay in focus.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus
