Summary: If your present lens doesn't offer a wide angle option, then this lens can be an ideal alternative to far more expensive lenses. Photo quality is fine for computer viewing and 8x10-aize prints, providing your camera and techniques are up to par.
Summary: I agree with the previous review. I have this lens and FOR THE MONEY it is a wonderful lens. There is some chromatic aberration, but not as much as you would expect, and the AF response is great. Keep it clean and protected and you will have [$] well spent. Excellent for landscapes in mid-range DSLRs, the D40s and such.
Summary: Right from the get go I was skeptical about buying a wide angle zoom lens not going for the usual $500 and above. But I thought it was worth a shot and I have not been happier. The performance and image quality this product delivers make it an excellent value. For the amateur as well as the seasoned professional who know how to use these lenses properly this an unbeatable value well worth the investment.
Summary: This is absolutely one of my favorite lenses. I've owned this lens for two years now and I love the effect is has on buildings, landscape & pet shots..especially for the price...I mean comeon...this is inexpensive. Sure I'd love to have a 600.00 lens but this one is the cats meow for the price.
Summary: Given to wife as a gift, as she is the picture-taker in the family. Nice lens, good feel, not extremely heavy. She needed an ultra-wide to complete all her lenses, and this one gives her that wide-angle camera shot she never had before.
