Excerpt: Distance of 43mm is nice when you want to back off of standard 50mm. Also the f/1.9 is nice for lower light situations. This could be a nice everyday carry on your camera. Pictures have a nice clarity. You won't regret this lens.
Summary: What can I say about the mighty 43mm... For those who are not familiar with Pentax this lens as well as the other FA Limited lenses are known in Pentax circles as the 3 amigos. The 31mmm 43mm and 77mm.... These lenses are every bit as sharp as any L Series lens Canon puts out.
Summary: Excellent value!!! Sharp wide opened and gets even sharper stopped down a little. Excellent contrast and colors!!!! I first bought FA 50mm f1.4 whish is a good value as well (not as sharp wide opened but gives better bokeh and offers 1.4 at 50mm.
Excerpt: I mount this lens onto A7R via an adaptor. This is a very good quality, small and high precision lens. It is very sharp with good rendition beautifl color lens. I could use it in wide open and get excellent picture.
Excerpt: This lens is right in keeping with other Pentax primes - sharp, fast and delivers wonderful colors. I use this, the 15mm and the 70mm almost exclusively for magazine-quality work. Why the professional community hasn't embraced the Pentax line more enthusiastically is beyond me.
Pros: Consistent Output, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Nice Bokeh
Summary: Beware the Pentax Limited lens series. Once you try one, you'll want another. And then another...then you'll find yourself on your buddy's couch, because your wife left you...you lens buying addict. But seriously, this is an awesome lens. Perfect for outdoor shooting, especially great for candids.
Summary: I bought this lens because I felt I needed an all-around portrait lens. And also because this lens was the thing that made me switch from Canon to Pentax. Like some people posted here, this lens is like a wild woman.
Excerpt: I was a bit reluctant to get this, as I already had the 40mm da limited. I love the 31mm and 77mm fa limiteds, so I figured I would probably love this one too. I own the K-5ii-s and the K-01. So far I have only used it on the K-01 (but if it does well on the k-01 it will do great on the k-5 iis).
Pros: Consistent Output, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Nice Bokeh, Strong Construction
