Excerpt: I had gotten a 50mm, but for indoors you have to get a mile away to get the shot you want. Auto-focus is noticable but not extremely loud. Pictures come out great. Its downfall is that it's hard to get the lens cap off with the tulip in position.
Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Nice Bokeh
Excerpt: I got this lens about three weeks ago, and it is one of my new favorite lenses. Takes excellent portraits, great in low light situations, and compact. Focal length is very versatile. Definitely a good value.
Excerpt: Personal use. multi purpose lens. it is all-round lens and is just like the 50mm in the 70's. then perhaps, the world wasn't as congested as now; photographers use to have plenty of space to maneuver for taking a nice exposure with the standard 50mm lens, I think the 35mm will be the standard lens...
Pros: Consistent Output, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Nice Bokeh, Strong Construction
Excerpt: IQ is good. Had never tried the Limited though. AF performance is quite similar to FA 50mm/1.4 but focal length is much more useful - as using APS-C. Slight back-focus on K10 & K20. No biggie as I've adjusted the cameras to compensate.
Excerpt: So far I have only used this lens on my K20D(~52 mm focal length) and have been pleased with the results. I was pleasantly surprised by the AF quality. So far appears sharp throughout f stops.
Excerpt: Sharp, fast, handles well. The only reason I did not rate it 5 stars is that I have not found it as useful as I originally thought I would. I find myself more often using the 16-45 or the 50-135mm zooms. However, it is an excellent lens if you want the focal length.
Excerpt: This is a great little lens for the price giving 50 mm coverage on APS-C cameras.A great walk around lens sharp enough not to cause any worries and light enough to carry as an extra lens.Comes with a case and lens hood and even has a small door if you need touse a polariser with it, nice design.I...
Pros: A Reliable performer, Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Lightweight, Sharp Focus, Strong Construction
Excerpt: I use this lense with a K10D for every day/portable and low light photo. The build quality is good. Photo's are sharp already at f/2 and also in the corners. Color is good. Manual focus adjustment is often necessary when the background is too homogenous (might be the camera's fault).
Pros: Consistent Output, Lightweight, Sharp Focus, Strong Construction
