29 June 2011
Excerpt: The Pentax lens repertoire seems to have its fair share of prime or single focal length lenses, bucking the trend towards the ubiquitous zoom. Many of these Pentax primes are described as Limited, not in the sense of them having a short production life, but rather in the limited number that can be made of these hand assembled, superior optics.
Pros: High quality of construction, Compact, High optical quality, Excellent handling
Pentax SMC DA 70mm f/2.4 Limited - Review / Lab Test
26 March 2010
Conclusion: The Pentax SMC DA 70mm f/2.4 Limited is an great lens with no significant technical weakness. A highlight is certainly the resolution characteristic which is generally excellent regardless of the (tested) aperture setting. It's also very even across the image frame. The vignetting is only slightly visible at f/2.4 but no real issue anymore at smaller aperture settings. Neither distortions nor CAs are field-relevant either.
