Excerpt: Bought this for using on a K-5 while engaging in dual sport motorcycle riding. Will be a good compact light-weight way to capture scenic photos. Anticipate it will also allow unobtrusive candid street shots.
Summary: Very slim. Focusing seems to make a bit more noise than with some other lenses, probably because the camera uses its own motor. All Pentax lenses are overpriced nowadays, but this one was a relatively good deal.
Value for money 40mm optics, but mounting is tricky

Summary: It's a Pentax 40mm f/2.8 lens. Image quality is as expected of a prime lens. Looks really good if handled correctly. Mounting it to the K-30 is a real pain and tricky. I have an 18-55 WR and 18-135 WR lenses, both are quality lenses and mount easily in the first attempt. Value for money optics.
