Excerpt: I was realy surprised when i started to use this lens. I had heard some negative comments on this, but all of the negative aspects don't show up. I get more and more impressed every time i use it. Take good sharp photos, fast AF and easy to use with quick shift focus. Even good in low light with my K-30. WR is another positive aspect.
Pros: Best universal lens, WR, Fast AF, Quick Shift Fokus
Excerpt: I use this lens recently with my K-500. I can not compare it with a Canon 18-135 mm and I think this lens is much better. Feels good and quality workmanship. Gives very nice colors, sharp in its entire range, has nice bokeh, compact AF is very quiet and fast.
Pros: nice colors, nice bokeh, AF is very quiet and fast
Excerpt: I picked this lens up along with a K5II, as I figured I needed a WR lens to take advantage of the sealing on the K5II. I live in a pretty wet climate, so I was really excited to finally be able to go out and shoot in the rain.
Pros: Colours, good IQ, contrast, pretty sharp up to about 80-100mm, WR!!!, quiet autofocus,
Cons: 135mm isn't great, extends when zooming, focus ring behind zoom ring,
Pentax 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 ED AL [IF] DC SMC DA WR review by kiwijono

Summary: I have a number of zooms, including original Sigma 17-70 and Pentax 18-55. This lens beats them in most ways (including overall sharpness). The real strengths are the relatively compact size (versus flexibility and performance), excellent auto focus and Weather Resistance. I'm not worried about taking this lens anywhere.
Pros: Relatively small, very good centre sharpness. Good AF, WR, build, and focal range
