Conclusion: Considering its construction, it's also lighter than expected, and the weather sealing doesn't appear to add anything to the price of the non-waterproof version. It's just a shame that its focusing system isn't quite as refined as those found in other macro lenses.
Excerpt: Comprising an internal arrangement of 9 glass elements in 8 groups, it feels reasonable in the hand despite being light at 345g. Capable of focusing within 30.3cm of any subject, the front element accepts 49mm filters and features a multi-layer coating, designed to minimise surface reflection, reduce ultraviolet rays and deliver high-contrast images.
