Excerpt: This is my second Pentax Limited Edition lens. The first (HD DA 21) was purchased in May of this year and never ceases to amaze me with magic hour landscape and urban street shots. The 40mm is very special too. Discrete and compact, it works well for walk-around and travel photography.
Excerpt: Mine is sharp. Very sharp. I shoot mostly film with a little digital on my K01. I've also owned the DA40XS, which I sold because I didn't like it any better than this lens. I've owned this one for maybe two years now, and ran tons of film through it.

Cons: - The manual focus ring is almost too small., - I somehow got a small scuff on my manual focus ring, showing a tiny bit of silver aluminum. Not sure how it happened, but don’t expect the lens to stay completely black unless you baby it (I don’t baby my equipment by any means)., - Screw drive auto...
