Great lens, and I have no issues with buying these w/o US warranty - never a failure.

  • Summary: While I haven't had a lot of time to use this, when I did, it performed as expected! It's my "normal" lens on my Olympus OMD M5 camera body now.

Love It

20 April 2015
  • Excerpt: I previously was using ef lenses with a metabones 4/3 to ef adaptor. I did not like the way my images were turning out. I decided to go ahead and buy some lenses that were made for the camera. I was very happy with this decision.
  • Pros: Durable, Strong Construction

  • Excerpt: I use GH4 for video with metabones speedbooster. I needed to do hdr timelaps sunrise and sunset shots. This lens was highly recommended. It did deliver. I will not use this for video. Metabones speedbooster is a must for GH4.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Lightweight, Nice Bokeh
  • Cons: Lens Cap Is Useless

Good Glass

ibmradio, B&H Photo
2 February 2015
  • Excerpt: Sharp and wide. Great for all Micro 4/3 cameras. I do wish it was f1.8 or f1.4. That would really help when shooting indoors, but that being said it is a nice lens.
  • Pros: Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Strong Construction
  • Cons: Poor in Low Light

  • Summary: Sharp but gets no shallow depth of field for a dslr user. Thats panasonics fault though. Here is a video review/test footage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qoo8lW6E78U&hd=1

Great all-around lens for Micro 4/3

Vadim, B&H Photo
10 October 2014
  • Excerpt: This lens is a 24-70mm focal length equivalent for Micro 4/3 format, which is a good all-around range for most uses. I have been using it on my Panasonic GH4, and optically it's very sharp, even at f/2.8. It is also extremely lightweight and small, especially when compared to full-frame lenses.
  • Cons: Long focus throw
