Impressed with autofocus on safari ride

26 June 2014
  • Excerpt: I used this lens with the GX7 recently. We were recently on a tram ride at the SD Safari Park and because I had a young child with me I couldn't always stay focus on the right object but I was really impressed with how fast the autofocus works so I was able to get a lot of shots that I thought I would miss (granted it was outdoor and it was a very sunny day). I also used it at my child's triathlon event and it worked out great too.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Nice Bokeh, Strong Construction

  • Excerpt: I've bought this lens, and it works well on my lumix GM1, the picture quality is great and autofocus is fast. even in low light conditions this lens performs very well, no noise on pictures at ISO 3200, at ISO 6400, noise becomes visible. I recommand this lens for my friends.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Strong Construction

For Me it did not work well on Olympus

25 May 2014
  • Excerpt: I found this lens to be very very soft...even at f/8...I may have had a bad copy but I found it slow to focus on the E-M1 as well . i sent it back . I have the Olympus 45-150 which is cheaper but less reach and the image quality is much better..
  • Pros: Strong Construction
  • Cons: Lens Creep, Slow Focus, Soft

Nice lightweight telephoto

8 May 2014
  • Excerpt: I use this lens with a Lumix G6 camera body. This is a nice lens for walking along the beach, getting pictures of shore birds with getting too much into their personal space, so that they fly away, which is what I have mostly used it for so far. It is reasonably fast, has good optic quality, and has smooth action on the zoom. And for the price, you can't beat it.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Easily Interchangeable, Economical, Lightweight
  • Cons: A Little Vignetting

Another must have

  • Excerpt: I carry this in my camera bag always, because you never know when you need to reach out for a shot. It takes great pictures at all focal lengths and is light weight and compact. It could be a little faster but with the stabilization inboard, it remains very, very useful. I also like the fact that it didn't cost an arm and a leg to acquire it.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Nice Bokeh

  • Excerpt: A good all around telephoto for the m4/3 system. It is nice and small easy to throw in a jacket pocket and still have a good telephoto with you!

I really like this lens

Setter Dog, B&H Photo
24 February 2014
  • Excerpt: This is a really good lens, very close to being an "all around" lens. Not as wide on the short end as ideal, I've been surprised how useful the 45mm focal length actually is. It stays on my G6 most of the time.
  • Pros: Consistent Output, Durable, Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight, Rugged

Nice coplement to kit lens

Clay, B&H Photo
22 February 2014
  • Excerpt: I use this for travel, family events and around town. The focal length picks up where the kit lens leaves off, and goes out to the point that some wildlife photography is possible. I don't often print pictures - the most stringent test they're going to get is being displayed on a TV screen. It fills that purpose very nicely. It's sharp, light, and focuses quickly. Obviously it's not the fastest lens ever, but it might be the best overall at this price point.
  • Pros: Easily Interchangeable, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Lightweight
  • Cons: Poor in Low Light
