Very narrow view and needs lot's a light.

kobudo Photo, Amazon
22 May 2014
  • Summary: In order to use a single frame and make a two frame picture, the lens produces a very narrow field of view. And its very telescopic in nature. Forget landscape photos.

A curiosity

David Pentecost, Amazon
23 March 2014
  • Summary: This met my expectations, which were low based on reading reviews. It will be fun for our young photography students to play with. Photos display well on Sony Bravia 3D TV .

Olympus m4/3 compatibility

Amazon Customer, Amazon
3 January 2014
  • Summary: I have confirmation from Olympus America that this lens works with the latest Olympus PEN EP-5 and the Olympus OM-D EM-1. It did not work with prior versions of the PEN EP or EP-L series. I rated neutral because I don't own the lens, merely thinking about buying. I'm not happy with Olympus for now requiring a specialty lens for 3d instead of having in-camera processing with overlay for shooting. Silly expense.

Panasonic 3D lens only for certain Lumix cameras, not all MTF cameras

Hans Schaefer "VideoKojak", Amazon
26 August 2013
  • Summary: I bought this interesting lens because on the Amazon webpage it said it will fit my Olympus E-P-1 MTF camera MECHANICALLY- yes it fits unfortunately, the camera tells me "this lens is not supported" This must be the only MTF lens that is not Panasonic / Olympus cross compatible It seems it only works with Panasonic Lumix G2, GF2, GH2 with on board software that works with 3D from this lens other than that, it looks like a nice piece of glass!

3D lens

Eduardo DeRivera, Amazon
10 June 2013
  • Summary: I did not expect much from this lens and that was exactly what I got for it. Don't see a lot of 3D effect with the lens installed.

Buyer beware : Amazon is wrong on compatibility

Amazon Customer, Amazon
15 April 2013
  • Summary: This is not a review of the quality of the lens it self I'm not bashing amazon, just wanted to bring up the point on fit of the lens on micro 4/3 camera and amazon's " will this fit my camera" guide. 1. To Amazon's credit, it will "fit" your micro 4/3 camera since the lens is a micro 4/3 mount 2. No it will not work on any Olympus Pen m 4/3 camera I tried it on including a E-P3, E-P2, and an E-PL1 body. The sensor simply goes black 3.

Big Drawbacks...Some Strengths

J. Vincent Legg, Amazon
24 February 2013
  • Summary: I bought this (at a much higher price) when it was new, in January of 2011. I was aware of all the limitations (needs lots of sun, no zooming, no video, lo-res, etc.) but really wanted to try out 3D. I didn't have any means to view the .mpo files I took, back then...thus the delay. Now I've been able to compare the Lumix 3D with the Fuji 3D. In short: The Fuji FinePix Real 3D W3 is MUCH better for 3D pictures, overall.

The Oracle, Amazon

  • Summary: A different outlook for your photos to view. Just install free software from the internet to view on your computer and you get ok results but advise to be in plenty of light to get best results.
