Summary: Is this the sharpest lens I own? Nope, but compared to what a 15mm panasonic leica or the 12mm olympus would run me for the rare landscape picture I take, this was the better overall choice. The lens itself is tiny, and would make a good street / walk around lens if you prefer a wider (28 mm) point of view. Exactly what I needed at a good price.
Summary: I use this for video, and while it may not produce the "sexy" image quality of some of the faster Olympus/Pany lenses, this is a great lens to have. Very fast auto-focus, great image quality. I can see myself using it in a lot of different situations and will probably end up using more than my Olympus 25mm f1.4 going forward.
Summary: Since converting over to the Micro Four-Thirds system I've been slowly replacing the kit zooms that came with various bodies with single focal length lenses, both for better quality and to gain a few extra f-stops. Sure, I'd like to buy a set of Leica or Voigtlander lenses, but like most non-pros my budget is limited. I try to find a middle ground between the best quality and the best values, and I buy used whenever I can.
Summary: It's not my walk around lens - that's the Lumix 25mmk f/1.4 Leica lens on the Oly EM1. But I carry this 14mm in a pocket and thus never miss a shot requring a wide field of view. Very sharp images. Bought it used from Asia via Amazon. Very satified.
