Nice Telephoto

CorgiBird, Panasonic
19 June 2013
  • Summary: I love this lense with my small GH2. But hey Panasonic, how about a 200mm-400mm? Or larger. Anyone else agree let Panasonic know we like the telephotos.
  • Pros: Compact, Easy to use

Fantastic Zoom

PhotoBen19, Panasonic
8 December 2012
  • Summary: I received this zoom lens as a gift and could not be happier! I purchased the Lumix G3 last year and up until I received this lens I have been using the kit lens. I must say that this lens is sharper throughout the entire zoom range and auto focus is fast. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a fantastic zoom lens!
  • Pros: Easy to use, Durable, Exceeded expectations
  • Cons: Expensive

Poor zoom performance

Ed, Panasonic
29 December 2011
  • Summary: Picture quality, overall performance and price good but zoom performance bad. Zoom ring is so stiff and so much pressure must be exerted to rotate the zoom ring that there is no way to zoom in or out while filming. Problems: Slow zooming is jerky and destabilizes image.
  • Pros: Inexpensive, Compact, Easy to use, Convenient
  • Cons: Did not meet expectations, Poor quality

Super zoom!

spanky, Panasonic
8 January 2011
  • Summary: M4/3 cameras needed a big zoom lens and Panasonic has really delivered. Tack sharp through the whole range with no vignetting or chromatic aberration. AF is fast and quiet, OIS is fantastic, and coupled with the GH2 Extended Tele Conversion, it's a perfect wildlife super-zoom/telescope!
