Excerpt: Only use it for video on the Gh4 and it does a good job, just doesn't let much light in (but its not $+ either) the O.I.S. seems great, better than my Sony 30mm 1.8 on the FS700I am used to much more expensive Nikon lenses and the plastic lens mount kinda scares me but I did buy this for the Gh4 to go on a brushless gimbal so the SUPER light weight is a bonus Not much to say, its a nice tiny lens but a little over priced for what it is
Excerpt: This a default lens that I will sell eventually, but the work is done in a camera like the BMPCC. It`s design it`s cute and it`s size is small compared to the ones of Canon or Nikon, but the shaprness of the image is not the best. That is what you can expect at the price of the lens. But as a conclusion, it does the job and really well.
Summary: I sold my G1&G2 with lenses, but unable to sell the GF1 (not even for $100), therefore I purchased back this 14-42 which I found not bad for I spent, it gives higher than reasonable image quality, looks like a worth keeping lens for a cheap GF3 body.
Excerpt: Keep in mind when you buy a lens at this price don't expect it to perform like a 50,000 lens. It does what it's supposed to do. Clean image, does the job and no complaints...as of yet. I only had it for a month. Who knows 5 months from now it could break or works as it did from day one.
Excerpt: I use this product as my main lens for all of my short films. The quality of this lens is spectacular, I'm starting to fall in love with Lumix again after this. The zoom is electronic as well as the focus (an infinite focus mind you) and that makes it all the better as I can click it onto a camera and hit the autofocus button for those minute-to-get-it shots. You know what I mean, like those thirty second snowfalls that multiplies a shot's production value.
Summary: I bought this lens to pair with the panasonic G5 body which I also bought on ebay. The quality of the pictures I GET IS GREAT. I have had no problems or issues with it. Would easily recommend.
